Rennsport 1: Photoshoot.

Ferrari, top down, cruising Fort Lauderdale. Oh, and the sickest Lamborghini anyone will ever lay eyes on. Need I say more? Didn't think so...

Inspiration: Automobili Lamborghini

When it comes to the best in the automobile industry, Lamborghini is the first manufacturer that comes to mind. Style, power, emotion, Lamborghini has it all. I've recently been turned into a Lambo/Audi lover and wouldn't want it any other way. First off, the fit and finish of these cars compared to Ferrari and cars alike is top notch. Secondly, the looks. Lamborghini's style blows everything else out of the water. When you stand next to one, there is so much presence to it. It always has that look of going 100 mph while standing still. From the Gallardo's aggresive bulldog-like front to the Murcielago's long and low body lines, nothing compares to seeing one of these raging bulls up close let alone going for a ride in one. The power is incredible. The sound is intoxicating. Everything about it screams perfection. It's the only car that you could order in bright flourescent pink and still look good going down the road.
Words can't describe how awesome these cars truely are. Call me crazy. Call me weird. I'm uber passionate, even border line obsessed, about cars and will be until the day I die. But Lamborghini will always out-do the rest for me. It's the only car that really excites me anymore. Having ridden in a Gallardo and lp640, seen a Reventon in person, and watched many pass me by, there will never be another auto manufacturer that can do it like these guys. I've seen several Bugatti Veyrons, sat in an Enzo and F50, driven R8's and Porsche Turbo's. None of which excited me half as much as even a plain jane Gallardo. Many cars are more powerful and many will argue better looking but Lamborghini has something else. These cars are like fine pieces of art work. You could stand next to one for an hour just taking it all in. Watching the color seem to change in front of you depeding on the light. All of the subtle body curves. All of the sharp vents protruding from the bumpers. All of the little details from the stitching on the interior to the LED taillights. Only something true car enthusiasts can fully under
stand and appreciate. Lamborghini's will always have that "god-like" stature in my book.

Magazine Covers

So I've had this idea for awhile but finally found some time to play around with it. I wanted to edit a couple pictures I took of some friends' cars to look like magazine covers. Dunno where the idea came from but thought it might be cool. After about an hour of playing around and looking at a couple car magazines this is what I came up with...

Sprint Blue: photosession

Finally met up with Tommy today for the third installment of his car. This was long awaited for the both of us but was so worth the wait. Being that we're both artists we had tons of ideas floating around for this latest shoot. We knew we wanted a movie-esque type of shoot with a very dramatic look. Today was the perfect day to achieve this because of the dark and cloudy skies. So now choosing location. We stumbled across an old building up in Winterthur that looked as if it could be an old insane asylum. It was the perfect backdrop that gives the photos a very gloomy look. After some quick edits, here's what I came up with...

Non-automotive photos

I've been trying my best to get my compostion down on things other than cars. I've can get all the right angles and know exactly how to shoot a car with out even thinking about it. But when it comes to nature, still life, people, etc. I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm practicing before my trip to Miami next month because all I'm going to do that whole 3 days is walk around and shoot pictures of everything and anything and I wanna make it worth it because Miami trips don't come around often and this'll be the last one for awhile probably. I took this picture of an old tractor at Winterthur today. We found it by accident and then later found out we weren't even supposed to be there because the whole place was closed on Mondays. I think the picture came out pretty decent.

Warp speed!

Went out with Alex tonight after a photo journey all day and came up with this idea on the way down I95. We went back home and got my car and I rigged my tripod practically on my lap to get these shots at a high shutterspeed. I got a lot of pictures but I liked this one the most. All the lines are from Alex switching lanes on the highway and this was at like a 15 second shutter. I like this picture because highway driving is like therapy for me. You get on the open road and blast some music and let it all out and don't come home until everything feels good again. This was a good first attempt and surely won't be my last. I want to experiment some more in areas with a lot of different colored lights and what not but for now this will do just fine.

***Here are a couple from the first attempt in Alex's car while trying to hold the camera steady***
